About Me

Hi, I'm Jacob

I'm an artist and filmmaker based in Auckland, New Zealand.

As a kid, I used to draw constantly. But the distractions of the smartphone, the worries of the world and the complexities of adulthood drove the creative spark away.

INKLE was born out of my journey to reignite that spark.

In 2024, I found the dip pen and fell in love with the slow drawing experience this two-hundred-year-old tool offered. I began creating art again for the sheer joy of creating. It felt wonderful.

I wanted other people to experience this. So over the next couple of years, I created INKLE: the trace-and-paint art kit that helps you create more and consume less.

I hope it sparks in you the same joy of creating.
